League brings back formal dance in 2017!

The League of Terre Haute is bringing back what was fondly known to members as “The Dance”. This January League members are happy to present the Winter Ball.  The Winter Ball will be held on the campus of Indiana State University in the Sycamore Banquet Center on Saturday, January 14th, 2017. Cocktails will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:45. A live auction will begin at 7:30. What’s a ball without dancing? Immediately following the auction, guests can dance the night away – at least until midnight.  Ladies and gentlemen are asked to wear their formal attire. Guest must be 21 or older to attend. For more information or to purchase tickets or a table please click here.

In the event the ball needs to be cancelled due to bad weather, it will not be rescheduled. However, all ticket holders will be issued a donation receipt for tax purposes.

The League of Terre Haute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to children. League has two core missions. The first is to provide new clothing to children. The second mission of League is dental health and education.

February Is Dental Education Month

The League of Terre Haute is doing its part to educate children of the Wabash Valley during Dental Education Month.

Jessica Tegemeyer, Chair of the Dental committee, and her committee members assembled dental care kits for every student in Vigo County! Each child received a toothbrush, dental floss, tooth paste, and a dental health activity book provided by the Tribune Star.

In addition to the student packets, each school received a dental health education kit to help teach the students proper brushing and flossing techniques.  The kits can be seen to the right.

Great job to our dental committee for a successful Dental Education Month!
